Where should the Xplorie Widget go?

It’s easy to drive bookings by promoting Xplorie’s activities directly on your website – just add our widget! Once it’s on your website, you can link to it within property listings, emails etc.

Using the Xplorie Widget on Your Website

The Xplorie Widget makes it easy to promote activities and drive bookings directly from your website. Below are recommendations and steps on how to get started:

Step 1: Create a dedicated webpage for the widget

We recommend placing the widget on its own webpage rather than embedding it on multiple pages.

Common page names include:

  • Experiences
  • Activities
  • Things to Do
  • Guest Perks

This page becomes the main destination for guests to view everything included in your Xplorie program.

Step 2: Embed the widget on the new dedicated webpage

The Xplorie widget should be embedded directly on your website, so guests can explore your experience program without leaving your site or opening a new tab.

Embedding the widget allows guests to:

  • View all available experiences in one place
  • See current details and schedules
  • Explore activities on desktop or mobile

Once embedded, the widget automatically stays up to date when your program changes.

Step 3:
Add the page to your main website navigation menu bar

For best visibility, this webpage should be added to your main website navigation menu.

Why this matters:

  • Guests can easily find activities while browsing your site
  • The page feels like a core part of your guest experience
  • No searching, scrolling, or confusion

This makes it clear that experiences are an important part of your offering.

Step 4: Update your homepage to include a call-to-action to the Xplorie Widget

Including a call-to-action (CTA) and a link to your Xplorie Widget dedicated page on the homepage is powerful because it meets guests where their interest starts and guides them toward planning their stay.

This can be included in two-different ways:

  • Full-width rotating banner that includes images of activities and a button
  • Call-to-action text and button e.g., "Free Activities Included" - Learn More

Here’s why it works so well:

  • Catches guests early in their planning: Many guests start exploring activities before they book or right after they arrive on your site. A homepage CTA helps them immediately see what there is to do nearby.

  • Keeps guests on your website longer: Linking to the Xplorie Widget page encourages guests to keep browsing within your site instead of leaving to search elsewhere for things to do.

  • Highlights the value of staying with you: Promoting local experiences—especially free or complimentary ones—shows added value and helps your property stand out from competitors.

  • Drives engagement and bookings: A clear CTA like “Explore Things to Do” or “Plan Your Stay” guides guests toward action, increasing interaction with activities and boosting bookings.

  • Supports the full guest journey: The homepage is a central hub and from there, guests can easily return to the activity catalogue before arrival, during their stay, or while planning a future visit.

  • Reinforces consistency and accuracy: Since the CTA links to a single, always-up-to-date widget page, guests get consistent information no matter when or how they access it.

Other Places to Includes Links to the Xplorie Widget

Once the widget is live on a dedicated page, you can link to that page anywhere guests might look for information.

Where to link to it:

  • Property listing descriptions (do not include on OTA listing descriptions)
  • Booking confirmation emails
  • Pre-arrival emails
  • Guest guides or welcome messages
  • QR codes around your property
  • Email signatures

Instead of repeating information, you simply share the link.
